Hi I'm Jessica Liparoto, celebrity hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you how to get some wedding hairstyles for short curly hair. The misconception is with short hair that you can never get an updo but today I'm going to show you how to get a Grecian look on short hair. So you're just going to need a few simple things, a small curling iron, a brush, a comb and a few bobby pins and to finish off the look you're going to need a little bit of hairspray and the hairspray we're going to be using is the L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray. So to start off our look we're going to grab our brush and we're going to go through and give it a nice tease. We're just going to brush the hair back and continue throughout the crown all the way to the nape. This is going to make the hair appear fuller and it's going to be easier for us to stick the pins in. And because Anna has bangs, I'm going to go ahead and tease those back into the rest of the hair as well and then I'm going to do her hair straight back so it elongates the rest of her face. You can part it to the side, whatever fits your face shape the best. Now that we've put in a good solid foundation, we're going to take a little bit of hairspray. Now we're going to smooth it out, going to take a little section and we're going to twist it back, very loose and then we're going to hide it under the back comb, secure it with a bobby pin that matches your hair, bring another one, secure with a bobby pin and then you can even go as far as putting one more down here, over to the other side, same thing, loose twist, pin, under the back comb. So now it's kind of in a Mohawk shape. I'm going to go back through the front and if you want a little extra curl or change the shape of your curl, you take your small iron. I'm going to put a different kind of wave in there. It's going to create more texture in the the hair and you can curl it either way, under or over, it doesn't make a difference, go back and brush it out, use your fingers, kind of piece it through, have a nice shape happening. And you can always just go in and mess it up. It doesn't have to be perfect. So all we do is twist back the sides, secure it with a bobby pin underneath the back comb and that's how you get a Grecian look on short curly hair. And so for our next look we're going to keep the foundation that we have and we're just going to braid up the side and everything is going to end over here. So to start this look we're going to start here on the side, we're going to give it a quick brush through. Now I'm going to start my braid pretty high, take a nice clean triangle section, divide it into three strands. Now you could do an inverted braid or a regular braid. I'm going to just do a regular plain French braid. So you're going to grab the outside over to the center outside, bring it to the center and you're just going to repeat this all the way until you get to the bottom of the hair. So I think this is a good place to secure the braid. You're going to take a bobby pin and you're just going to secure it. I'm going to put in another one for good measure. Then you can just bring back the hair and you can either leave it like this or you can also do a loose little braid in the front and connect it to the back. Again your three pieces, clean sections and I'm going to do this very loose. Now I'm just going to secure it back here, just tweak the front a little bit and that's how you get wedding hair for short curly hair. I'm Jessica Laproto. Thank you for watching.
