Hi, I'm Erin, and I'm a fashion stylist. A cowboy hat is a tough look to pull off but it can look so sexy and sweet if you wear it the right way. Our model Remy is wearing a simple wheat colored straw cowboy hat. This one is from Macy's. The easiest and best way to wear your straw cowboy hat is with bluejeans and a cute T-shirt or tank top. I put Remy in a flirty silk tank by Guess. It shows a little skin and echoes that sweet and sexy feel of the hat. It's important when wearing your cowboy hat to wear it low like our model. If it fits too high on your head, like that, it's probably not the right size. You should also try to keep these hat details to a minimum. If it has huge turquoise beads or giant silver medallions, you're going to start to look costumey. Keep it simple. Styling your hair is also key when wearing a cowboy hat. I would suggest hair down and wavy. think beachy waves like Giselles or our models. I finished off Remy's look with some sassy chandelier earrings and a cocktail ring. On her feet, she's wearing a trendy brown and gold clog by Michael Kors. The clog gives her some height and makes her look longer and leaner. You can wear cowboy boots with this look, but you have to be really careful about wearing additional western wear and accessories with the hat. Again, the last thing you want to do is look like you're wearing a Halloween costume. There is one exception however. The rodeo. If you are heading to the rodeo, bust out the boots, turquoise jewelry, silver buckled belt, western shirt and giddy up cowgirl.
