Hi, everybody. I'm Erin, and I'm a fashion stylist. If anyone understands snow boots, it is yours truly. I grew up in a small city they actually dubbed "Snow Town USA". I believe the key with any winter wear is to keep it as streamlined as possible. Our model, Heather, can show you what I mean. Now, let's start at the bottom, and work our way up. Heather is wearing a pair of brown knee high wedge boots. Notice the boots are fitted to her calf, and not slouchy. I think this is helpful in keeping her looking slim and sophisticated. Slouchy boots are okay, they are just much more casual. These boots also zip up on the side. That's an important feature, because it makes it easier to get them over your jeans. A pull on pair of boots can, no doubt, be a challenge. The most important part about these boots, however, is the wedge. It's a rubber wedge, so she won't slip in snow or ice. It's squishy, so it's easy and comfy to walk in. And, the height is nice, because it elongates you. The best jeans for this look is a skinny jean. Because the jeans don't have a lot of extra fabric around the ankle, you won't get that uncomfortable bunching inside your boots. If you want to wear your boots under your jeans, that's fine too. Just be sure you're wearing a boot cut jean that gives the pant plenty of room to lay over the boots. I've paired Heather's boots with a super chic wool winter coat. Notice that Heather is wearing the coat, versus the coat wearing her. Winter wear gets so bulky that it's easy to lose your shape. So, again, try to keep it all as streamlined as possible.
