Hi, I'm Rose Tran and I'm a fashion stylist. Let's face it, no matter how nicely draped, shawls are not going to stay in place. That being said, it can actually be used to your own advantage, if you wear it with the right attitude. Assume some slippage with this piece and make sure your pair it with something that you're comfortable with. Just in case you lose the coverage of the shawl. Our mode is wearing a strapless BCBG dress. A shawl is the perfect way to give the option of either sexy, or sophisticated. I've chosen this luxury black shawl for an evening event. Which also ties in well with the detail of the dress. You can drape it to show a little bit of the shoulders for a classy, yet sexy look. Or, cover up the shoulders for a more sophisticated look. Since the draping of the shawl creates a V neck. You can draw the attention to your neckline by adding a simple necklace. I wouldn't encourage anything overly dramatic. If you decide to wear your hair up to show off the shoulders. I would suggest adding a pair of dangled earrings to add some glamor This also helps to maintain the balance of your look, in case the shawl comes off. Keep in mind to stay away from hoop earrings, they're tacky, to say the least.
