Hi, my name is Rose Tran and I'm a fashion stylist. Today, I'm going to show you how to wear riding boots. The origin of this footwear was meant for horseback riding, now riding boots can be worn as a strong fashion statement. I've chosen this pair of black leather riding boots because it's a common color to be worn. Kathleen is wearing lightweight stretchy denims with a dark wash to flow with the color scheme. This style of boots has a touch of masculinity due to the shortness of the heel and its reference to the sport of horseback riding. To balance this look I've dressed her top half with a more feminine piece. Kathleen is wearing a royal purple over-sized blouse. This looser fitted top is the simplest way to juxtapose the snug fit of the boot. The sheen of it gives the ladylike quality this outfit needs. For finishing touches I've chosen this dainty gold leaf necklace, because the shine adds brightness to an otherwise dull outfit.
