Hi, I'm stylist, Natalie Ogura, and today we're talking about how to wear peep toe ankle boots. A peep toe bootie is basically an ankle high boot with an opening at the toe just large enough so others can admire your pedicure. It's been very popular for a few seasons now and I'm sure it will stick around for a few more. You can wear this bootie like you would any other traditional boot with the exception that you don't want to wear it in slushy Winter weather. The peep toe boot's main function is to add sexiness to any outfit. I love a peep toe boot with mile high heels because they become the focal point of any ensemble. A night on the town, pair them with simple pencil pants and a flowy silk blouse. For a more formal occasion, show off your go to strappy heels and slip on a pair of these booties with a little black dress. Here, Kara is wearing a flapper style sequined dress by Anna Sui and a pair of peep toe boots by Tahari all from Julian Gold Boutique. I love this pairing because the dress has a slightly boxy fit, so not overtly sexy. The boots are definitely the item that kicks in the sexiness. As a rule of thumb, let a peep toe boot play the seductress. The rest of your pieces should help counterbalance and support the edgy look. As a last note, if you're only going to invest in one peep toe boot, opt for black, gray or tan ones. They will give you more mileage than other colors or metallics.
