Hi, I'm Erin and I'm a fashion stylist. Something every woman should have in her closet, is a little, black dress, that's because it's extremely versatile. Our model, Heather is wearing a classic, sleeveless, little, black dress. This one is a celebrity favorite, and also one of my go to LBDs. It's the Jackie O Dress by Black Halo. The great thing about a black dress like this one. You can dress it up with some sparkly shoes and accessories, or dress it down. Also, because it's sleeveless, it's easy to layer under or over the dress. By simply putting a cashmere cardigan over Heather's dress, we can completely change the look. The cardigan makes it more casual and office appropriate. This look is also practical, especially if you need a little added warmth. In Texas, where I live, for example, pretty much any store, office or restaurant you wander into, feels like a meat locker. A light sweater can no doubt, be your savior. Layering is also an ideal option, if you've gained a few pounds, or haven't exactly been hitting the gym. A sweater will conceal those embarrassing bat wings. If you want to cover your arms, but still be cool. You can try a light weight cotton sweater, instead of cashmere. To keep Heather looking work ready, I paired the cardigan dress combo with a closed toe, black pump. What I love about this look, is that she can easily ditch the sweater, swap out her accessories. And be ready for a great evening party. With sleeveless shirts and dresses, just remember you always have the option to layer. After all, just because you have the right to bare arms, doesn't mean you want to.
