Hi, I'm Joanna Wilkinson, style expert and creator of Keep Austin Stylish. When thinking about what to wear in Winter, a mini skirt might not be the first item of clothing to cross your mind, but mini skirts are actually a fun easy thing to wear in Winter and in fact, are much easier to wear in Winter than in the Summer. The difficult thing about wearing a mini skirt is that it is both short and tight, but in the Winter you can easily mask the shortness by wearing either tights or leggings. Tights are functional because they keep your legs warm and covered but they can also be a really fun accessory to play with. Patterned or colored tights are a great easy way to add interest to a Winter outfit. With this outfit I made a bold mood by using leopard print tights. Because she is wearing a tall over the knee boot, just a splash of leopard print shows and isn't too much. These boots are a perfect shoe to wear with a mini skirt in the Winter because they don't have a heel but they are also tall. By wearing a mini skirt in Winter like this, you end up looking sexy and stylish while still staying warm and without showing too much skin. And this is why the mini skirt is perfect for Winter.
