Erin created and wrote a weekly segment for Hotnewz called “Fashion Fix.” It gave viewers the inside scoop on, what else, fashion! Recently, Erin moved to the Texas Hill Country and started her image consulting business “Busbee Style”. Busbee Style is her newest baby, a passion for sure! Through Busbee Style, Erin does personal shopping, fashion styling and closet organization. Now, Erin is dressing and styling all types of Texans from cowboys to socialites.

Hi, I'm Erin, and I'm a fashion stylist. I'm a huge fan of dresses, especially long dresses. That's because they're so easy to wear. Our model, Brittany can show you one option. She's wearing a long maxi dress by Alice and Olivia, this one is from Nordstrom. It's stripped with all the different shades of brown. I think the colors are really neutral and flattering on most skin tones. The stripes are horizontal, so not exactly flattering on everyone. But you can always try a solid color, or a different pattern instead. Brittany is wearing a fun tribal necklace and a leopard print, small waist belt that comes with the dress. The cinched waist is great with a long dress. Especially among smaller women, whose bodies can get lost in an over-sized maxi. On her feet, she's wearing a pair of really simple thong sandals. When you have a long pattern dress, you really don't need to add many accessories or elaborate shoes. You can keep the rest of the look pretty simple. If you're not lucky enough to be as tall as our model. You may want to consider wearing a wedge, or espadrille. A wedge sandal can add much needed height for petite women. And may prevent you from having to go to the tailor. The maxi dress is not only an easy piece, requiring little in the way of accessories, or styling, it's also extremely versatile. It can take you from the beach to dinner, even a cocktail party. Depending on what you wear with it.
