Hi, I'm Erin, and I'm a fashion stylist. Fall is great - the foliage, the cooler weather, and you finally get to bust out your boots! I love boots. But, what do you wear with this fashion staple? Our model, Heather, is wearing one option. Before I describe her look, it's important that we talk about the details of her boots. First of all, the chocolate brown boot she is wearing are a high-quality soft leather. I think that's a must. I always tell my clients that if they're going to invest in one high-end piece, it should be boots. If you are morally against wearing the real mccoy, you can always fake it with a great pleather, or find a pair with a stretchy synthetic fabric. Just make sure they look expensive and chic. The boot is such a standout piece, you don't want them to look cheap. Fit is also key. they should fit well around your calves. Remember, if you have really skinny calves, you can always take your boots to the shoe repair shop and get them taken in. Comfort is also important. You can look for a flat, a wedge, or a pair like these with a chunky heel. Remember the song, "These Boots Are Made for Walking"? So, make sure you can actually walk in them. Okay, back to our look. Heather is wearing a casual chic look. This is something she can wear to run errands, meet her friends for lunch, or even wear to dinner. I put her in some dark wash skinny jeans. The darker wash makes them dressier. The color also blends a little better with the boots, and keeps her looking tall. On top, a beautiful cinnamon color jual blouse. I love this shade for almost every skin tone. You can tuck the blouse in and add a belt to change it up a bit, or leave it out, like our model has. I finished off the look with some great accessories. You can also wear your boots under your jeans, but that will mean the boots really blend into the overall look. If you're bored with the boots and jeans combo, try your boots with a feminine dress. Boots are sexy, versatile, and definitely give your overall look some kick.
