HI, I'm Erin, and I'm a fashion stylist. Today, I'm going to talk to you about what to wear to an interview in the winter. Just because you have a job interview during the chilly winter months doesn't mean you have to dress like an Eskimo. You should still keep your look tailored, simple, and professional, like our model, Heather, who's wearing a traditional, sophisticated black pantsuit. Here's the thing, even if it's negative 50 outside, you never really know what the inside temperature is going to be. For example, what if the employer keeps it cooking in our office with the thermostat set at 80? You're going to get sweaty and uncomfortable during that all important interview. So, again, just keep the look simple and classic. A streamline black blazer, black trousers with minimal details, and add a little flair with your accessories and blouse. I paired Heather's suit with a long sleeve green and blue tie neck blouse. The top adds a splash of color, and draws attention to Heather's face. The long sleeves help keep her toasty. You can also look for warm fabrics - wool, cashmere, even silk can keep you cozy. And, if you are still panicked about the deep freeze, try tights, leggings, or long underwear under your slacks. You can dress to impress, and stay warm for your interview, even in the arctic tundra.
