Hi, I'm Erin and I'm a fashion stylist. Wearing boots with a dress is no doubt a fun and flirty look but you kind of have to know what you're doing. One wrong move and you're a fashion don't instead of a do. Here is one dress with boots with option, perfect for Spring and Summer. Our model, Heather is wearing a fabulous purple chiffon dress by Alice and Olivia. I think the style of the dress is important when considering pairing it with tall boots. Look for styles that are feminine and flowy like our models. You know, the ones that have almost a Bohemian feel. They are usually daytime dresses. The boots add a sexiness and toughness to the sweet dress creating a unique look. This is great when you get tired of all those Summer shoes and sandals. Notice Heather has bare legs. That's fine during he warm weather. You could also throw on some tights or stockings in the chillier months. When picking your dress and boots you should also consider length and proportion. I opted for dress that falls above the knee and a boot that falls below. It gives Heather open leg space which keeps her looking longer. Again in the cooler weather, she could wear dark colored hosiery which will elongate her even more. Another option is the ankle boot and dress combo. I think ankle boots or booties look fabulous with a dress and it's a little bit easier in my opinion to pull off. Some boot ideas that deserve the boot wearing Uggs, oversized or traditional Winter boots with any type of dress. Don't do it.
