Hi, I'm Seane Marie, and I'm a fashion stylist. As great style icons like Coco Chanel and Jackie O have shown us over the decades, pearl necklaces are a classic item that every woman should own, whether a solid strand of pearls or a pearl necklace mixed with other beads and stones, wearing one or more than one at a time is a great way to add a classic touch to your look. Now, if doing the latter, I recommend to keep your ensemble feminine and somewhat basic to allow your mix of pearls to shine. Today, Beth is wearing a gorgeous maroon pleated skirt and a sheer white oxford as the base of our outfit. These pieces are great because they are both feminine but tailored in nature, allowing them to perfectly balance the classic pearls. On top I've added a layer of three pearl necklaces. This combination works because the accents in the various necklaces, in this case, black and gold, compliment each other. Also none of the pearls themselves are too far different in color. While it can be done, pairing super white pearls with a cream variety, can be a harder balance to maintain. So an easy way to avoid that problem is to match the color of the pearls in the different strands. While they don't have to be perfect, a close match is best. Finally, I've finished this look with a pair of chic suede heels. This feminine rose color perfectly compliments the ensemble completing a polished outfit perfect for a day at the office.
