Hi, I'm Rose Tran and I'm a fashion stylist. Cropped pants are usually a Spring and Summer trend, but they're not limited to those seasons. Recently I've seen them around for even Fall and Winter. Just as long as your Winter isn't below 0 degrees, there shouldn't be a problem. Some people are skeptical about creating a broken line of the cropped pant and boot but this look can actually look balanced if you choose your attire wisely. If you're going to wear them with ankle boots, make sure your cropped pants are loose and not fitted. Our model is wearing a pair of high waist cropped pants. The high waist offers for the missing length on bottom. I've seen this done many times on the runway. Models can get away with this look because they have long and lean legs. I've added a lightweight crop top and gold bangles to balance out the masculinity of the lower half. In cooler seasons, you can throw on a fitted leather jacket to keep that edgy vibe. Otherwise, you'll end up looking too boxy.
