Hi there I'm stylist Natalie Ogura. And here are some ideas on what to wear with a corduroy skirt. On a general rule I like to match corduroy pieces with items that are also made from fall winter fabrics. Corduroy is a weighty fabric so mixing and matching it with other cozy fabrics like wools, cashmeres, and soft cottons make for great combinations. Here Tesla is wearing a rust colored corduroy skirt. I went to Macy's and picked out some simple items to pair with it. A lightweight turtleneck sweater. A plaid scarf that picks up the rust color in the skirt. And a sheik little hat to finish the look. The whole outfit reads fall winter from head to toe so the corduroy skirt looks right at home. And you can also pair corduroy with lightweight summeresque pieces too. I would just layer it with another article of clothing that carries some coziness in it. For example, you can match to the skirt with a flowy sheer blouse and just add a fur vest or a cropped cardigan over the top to complete your look. But whatever combination you choose a pair of boots or ankle booties like the one Tesla is wearing here from Macy's are key this season for upping the level of sophistication of the entire look.
