Hi there, I'm stylist, Natalie Ogura, and we're looking at what to wear with brown ankle booties. Ankle boots are popular in the Fall, but I personally love wearing them year round because they can instantly add an edgy feel to Summer wear and assuming they have decent treads, you can trek around in Winter cozied up with a warm pair of tights. In general brown ankle booties are a great transition accessory to ease your Summer wardrobe into the Fall season. Our model, Ellie here, is wearing a casual and feminine sundress by Free People that hits just above the knee. This is a very flattering length for pairing with ankle boots. Try to keep the hemline above the knee or maxi in length, anything in between and you may be doing your legs a disservice by making them look shorter than they really are. Add a fitted jacket or a corduroy blazer to finish up the look. If you'll notice, Ellie is wearing prairie style lace up booties in brown. I really play favorites with this lace up style. The slightly oval toe keeps it feminine, the laces allow you to tighten the boot snugly around your ankles, and the low solid heel is really easy to walk around in. It oozes a relaxed style and attitude. Brown booties are really plentiful this season, so do invest in a pair because they'll be keepers for years to come.
