About the Expert
Hi, my name is Susan, and I'm a makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you a way to cover under eye bags with makeup for dark skin. Now there are a couple of tools that you'll need to be able to achieve this. One, you'll need a yellow-based concealer, a shade lighter than your natural skin tone, translucent powder, and a powder and concealer brush. Now it's important to choose a yellow based concealer because it helps counteract the darkness that's occurring under your eyes which cause the bags. So, we're going to take our concealer here straight from the tube or if it's easier for you, use it on the back of your hand to add a little warmth and slip to it and get right under those bags. You also go in the inner corner of your eye to add a little light to that area. And be sure to blend, blend, blend and it's also important to not use too much product. While you might feel that your bags deserve a little heavy duty treatment, you need to think the opposite way, a little bit of product goes a long way. So now we're going to go to the other side, getting in that inner corner as well and it's always important to remember to use that ring finger to blend that product out. Now that you have your concealer down it's time for a little bit of powder. So now taking your powder brush and a little bit of translucent powder, you want the smallest amount possible on your brush, take it and run it directly under your eye and now for the other side. And the powder helps set that concealer and there you have it, your bags should be packing right now and nice and concealed. Now the most important tool for this is your yellow-based under eye concealer because that yellow helps counteract the darkness in your bags. There you go, practice at home and thank you for watching.
