Hi, my name is Alysse Lemke, and I'm a professional hairstylist. And today, I'm going to tell you how to style your hair with serum. I have a little tester packet right here of some serum. It's oil based so it's not going to wash out of your hair very easily, but it will get stuck in your hair and can make your hair look very greasy if you are not careful when applying it. So I'm just going to take a little bit and disperse it evenly all over my hands. I'm applying to wet hair first because it's going to help seal the cuticle and seal moisture into the hair and keep it shiny. Applying to wet hair is also going to provide a thermal protectant from any heat styling you will do after. When you apply through the wet hair careful not to go to close to the root because that's where it can tend to build up and get greasy. So I'm just going to pull it through the ends. Try to focus on any ends that might be fragile or damaged from product or the sun. Just remember when you are styling with serum that you want to apply it to wet hair first and use very sparingly. Work through the ends before you work up to the middle of the hair. And careful on the roots cause it can get a little greasy. And then you are ready to style and blow dry and you are ready. Thanks for watching, my name is Alysse Lemke.
