Hi, this is Kristie Kennedy, professional makeup artist. Today, we'll be discussing how to use makeup for beauty on dark skin. When using makeup for beauty on dark skin, it's essential to focus on accentuating those best features we have and then not so much on those trouble areas. The tools you'll need to accomplish this look are your natural eye colors, lip liner, a neutral lipstick, your blush and brushes, your blush brush and two eye shadow brushes. Let's begin. Our first step is to apply a nice neutral base to the lid. I chose bronze which is right in line with the natural skin color for dark skin. Apply it to the crease, short strokes from the left to the right. Our second step is to apply a complimentary color on the inside of the eyelid. I chose a copper. It really helps to open up the eye, blend in right where it begins to run into your first color. And repeat on the other eye, the inside of the corner of the eye, midway and blend in. You want a nice seamless effect. And that is your second step. Our third step is to apply color to the cheek area, to highlight your cheek bones, give definition and you take circular motions to blend in. You want to go upward with your strokes. Make sure you have nice even color so it's a natural flush and that is our third step. For the final step, we want to create a nice lip, starting with our pencil. I chose brown to line the rim of the lip to prevent feathering of your lip color and then apply your lip color on the inside of the line you created. And blend together, nice.
