Hi, my name is Alysse Lemke, and I'm a professional hairstylist. And today, I wanted to give you some tips about styling your hair with wax. The only product that you are going to need is wax. So, the first thing you'd like to do is kind of get your wax a good amount on your finger. You want to use the warmth of your hand to heat up the product cause sometimes wax can be really stiff. And I like to rub it between my hands get an even coating on my hands. Again warming up the product so that it can be dispersed evenly throughout the hair. And now you can hardly even see it on my hands. And when I start applying to my hair I move through the roots first. And it's kind of like building a foundation on a house. You have to put the product in at the base first. It's not always pretty at first. And if you need a little bit more product, you can just add some more. And again, going through the roots, I feel like I've got the wax pretty evenly dispersed and I'm going to start piecing out my hair and put it back in the right spot. I have really fine hair and I'm using a pretty firm hold wax. It would work well on almost any hair type. But there are different waxes light hold, medium hold. This one because I like to style my hair up is pretty strong. Now that I have my hair all styled I just wanted to leave you with one quick tip, when you are looking for wax try to look for an opaque paste. Clear paste will work also, but I like the stronger hold in a firm opaque paste. I'm Alysee Lemke, thanks for watching.
