Hi, my name is Ana, and today I'm going to show you how to curl thick hair. I'm going to use a comb, a thermal serum, and a one and a half inch curling iron. To start, take the thermal serum and put a dime sized amount in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together to warm it up, and work the product all over the hair, down to the ends. This is going to protect the hair from the hot curling iron. Really work it into the ends so they don't split or get damaged. When you have thick hair, you're going to be working with a lot of hair, so the best thing to do is to do sections. So, I'm going to go ahead and split my hair into sections. I'm going to start by going half up and half down with my hair, and then I'm going to divide the lower half. Taking my comb, I'm going to comb my hair. Just make sure there's no knots and I'm going to start towards the back. Take small sections and you're going to start using the curling iron halfway down and then you're going to release it to the ends. So, place the curling iron halfway down and start to curl. And then you're going to slightly pull until you get the ends in the curling iron as well. Hold it for a few seconds and then you'll release it. I have the curling iron on the hottest setting, that way it works a little bit faster and you get really good curls. You can definitely use a lower setting if you don't want to damage your hair. You just need to hold it a little bit longer. You can see the ends of my hair right here, then I'm going to release the lever to bring in the ends and then curl it one more time. Hold it. And release. If you want bigger, loose curls, just take more hair, a bigger section of hair. For the bangs I'm just going to use a really soft, long curl. I'm not going to go too curly. If you have different layers in your hair, it's also easier to section your hair with the different length of your layers, that way you don't have little pieces all over the place. Once your hair is curled, follow up by using a little bit of hairspray. It will give a nice hold, or if you like your curls to look really soft and loose, then don't use any hairspray at all. And that's it. Thanks for watching.
