Hi, I'm Devon and I'm a Professional Haircare Specialist. Today, I'm going to talk to you about suggestions for curly and frizzy hair. When you're dealing with curly and frizzy hair, you have to understand hair frizzes up because of some sort of damage, usually moisture depletion or dryness. When you're dealing with dryness, you have to examine your routine. I suggest co-washing or conditioner-washing as it's called. What that basically means is that you're washing your hair with conditioner versus shampoo. Most conditioners still have detergents in them and so they clean as effectively as need be. Also, when shampooing, if you're going to use a shampoo, use something rich in moisture and transfer it to something with a nozzle. Now, I say transfer it to something with a nozzle because you want to concentrate on the scalp and not the hair. If you're concentrating on the hair, you're allowing those different properties to strip the oils from your hair which you don't need. I promise, your hair will still get cleaned if you don't dowse it with shampoo. Concentrate on the scalp with a nozzle and you'll be just fine. Also, after you rinse your hair, make sure you do a final rinse in cold water. Get it as cold as you can stand. That cold water is going to seal the hair cuticle down and eliminate the frizzes. Once you're done shampooing your hair, you've done your final cold rinse, you're going to follow up immediately with a moisturizer of your choice. I always choose a liquid oil because it's light but it's heavy enough. It's easily penetrated in the hair shaft. Just a quick tip, when you're drying your hair, instead of using a cotton towel or a teary-cloth towel, you might want to use an old t-shirt. With an old T-shirt, it's going to allow you to soak up that moisture without drying your hair out. In conclusion, when dealing with curly or frizzy hair, it can seem like a daunting test, but it's not impossible. All you need to do is show it some tender loving care. Make sure and use gentle products, moisturize often and cleanse gently. Have fun. Thanks for watching.
