Hi, my name is Cati James. I'm a hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you how to style your short hair with just your fingers. So today all we're going to be using is a lightweight water based pomade and our hands. So you take the pomade, take about two fingers worth, cover the fingertips, not too much. We don't want too much buildup. A water based pomade is less sticky, just rub that through your fingers, get a good coating on your hands and then depending on how high you want it you can just kind of spike it up starting in the back, give it some volume, bring it around to the front. I leave my bangs in my face most of the time but some people that bothers so you can slick it to the side if you like and then just get in the back too so that will add some texture to the back. It's very easy, just kind of haphazard, messy. It gives it a cool look and that's basically it, just with your fingers. The main tool we used for this is a lightweight water based pomade.
