Hi, my name is Cati James. I'm a hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you how to style short hair into spikes. So all we're going to need today is a lightweight water based pomade. You're going to take about two fingers worth, cover the tips and then just rub that through the tips of your fingers and on the other side, on the other hand as well. So we're taking little pieces of our hair and we're twisting it upward. We have our fingers coated with product and we're just twisting, start from the back, go forward. It just gives it some funky kind of spikes. You can play with how much or how little you want. You could just leave it in the back like this or you could do the whole head bringing it forward. If you feel like you need a little bit more product, just go back in. There's no really wrong way to do this. It's just up to you how crazy you want to get with it. So I'm going to do the whole head just so you can see and choose one side to go to, just twisting the whole time. This is a fun look for going out. It's a fun look for if you have a concert to go to or going out with your friends, if you have a party. It's just a little bit different. With short hair sometimes it's hard to get variety, so, it just gives you, and you can go in different directions too. And that's basically it, very easy, very simple. The main tool we used for this was our pomade.
