Hi, I'm Jeremy Clark professional hairstylist and salon owner, and today I'm going to show you how to wear your hair in a slicked back modern style. So I'm going to create a slicked style with a side pony or a bun and an exaggerated side part. The tools you'll need at home are a back combing comb, some bobby pins, elastics, a natural bore bristle brush and a shine spray with some hold. For spray I'm going to use the Garnier Fructis Brilliantine Shine Glossing Spray. So just take a little bit of spray, spray it on your fingertips, break it down slightly and just distribute it through the hair. This is to catch the flyaways and add a little bit of shine to hair that might be dull or slightly damaged. I'm going to start pulling her hair over to the side. Go ahead and establish your part, I'm going to use the far corner of her eye as a reference and run that right through to the center top point, you can see just starting from the corner up to the center. Because this is a sleek look feel free to use as much product as you want to smooth the hair down and to catch any of those flyaways. I'm brushing her hair right down to the roots and following all the way through to the ponytail point which is just below the ear and fairly low right to the hairline. We'll establish the ponytail right there. So you can see we've established the part, pulled all the hair over into the side pony. I'm going to disguise that rubber band with a little bit of hair from underneath and just wrap it around, and then we can go ahead and create a little bun or keep the ponytail whichever to your taste, whichever works. I'm going to go ahead and wrap this into a little bun. I'm just using that product that's on the ends of your fingers to tuck all the little flyways in and you pin it right where you hold it. I like doing a ponytail style like this because you have so many options. You can actually leave the ponytail down or you can roll it into a bun, you can braid the ponytail, you can wrap it, you can leave it more loose and let hair kind of hang out so there the bun's finished, I'm just taking a little spray and getting rid of any other little flyways. So this look you can see is it's sleek and it's slicked back, it's sophisticated and it's modern and what makes it modern is it's not so pressed closed to the head. It's not done with gel so that it looks plastic or fake, this looks like real hair and it looks like the normal texture of the hair but just brought in close with a little bit of shine. There you go that's how to where your hair in slick backed modern style, I'm Jeremy Clark, thanks for watching.
