About the Expert
Hi, I'm Liz, I'm a hair stylist. And today I'm going to show you how to do a side part for short hair. The tools we are going to be using are a blow dryer, a nozzle, a comb, a water bottle, and hairspray. So the first thing you want to do is decide where you want your part to go. So I think I want my bang to be right over here. So I kind of try and comb it into place. So now that you get your part kind of where you want it to go we are going to take our water bottle and spray just along the part line. And comb some more now that it's wet you can really comb your part into place. And so now once you get that set you are going to blow dry it into place. So we put our nozzle on our dryer to really direct the hair. Then we'll start blow drying with the comb just to really knock that part into place. So when you are blow drying just use your hands or your comb to really control that part. Try not to let it get away. And you really just want to blow dry it until it feels dry. So now that we've got our part nice and dry I'm going to do a little bit more combing. That hair looks like it wants to stay over here. Don't try and fight with your hair too much. It looks better when you just let it do what it wants to do. And then last but definitely not least just going to spray it in. And there you have it, a side part on short hair. Thanks for watching.
