Hi, my name is Madelon and I'm a hairstylist. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to achieve a side part for medium length hair. The tools you'll be needing for this our a flat brush. Depending on the length of your bangs you might need a round brush. The products you'll be using today on wet hair is going to be a light hold gel or mousse. Whatever you'd like for your hair. And then for a finishing touches you'll be using a light hold hairspray. Step one for doing your side part is you are going to take a top crown section and wet it down. Just your bang area, you don't have to do your entire head if you don't want to. Now you are going to apply your product and comb it through. Now you are going to take your flat brush and you are going to blow dry your hair. The key point of this is you want to go side to side. You follow your brush and your hand dryer and then side to side. When you have most of the moisture out of your hair you are going to want to decide where you want your part to go. For me, I like my part to go right about like so. So what you want to do is follow the motions backwards and then side to side again. Also take your brush underneath and bring it down into the side. Again you do the motions of putting the brush underneath your bangs when you are done once then sweeping to the side. I personally don't like a straight back part but if you do you can always comb back. My hair just kind of naturally fall to where it wants to go. And brush it down. So here we have our side part for medium length hair. Thanks for tuning in and watching.
