Hi, I'm Jessica Adams, and I'm a professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to properly waterproof foundation for fair skin. Now, here I have my foundation. I'm just going to put a little of it on my hand here, take your foundation brush and you just dip it in and start applying it to the face. So, you just want to apply in light circular motions. We're just doing this on yourself. You can use your fingers as well. It helps warm it up a little bit. You want to go all the way across the face. So, that's our foundation. Next, you need to set it with the powder. I've got a nice high definition powder here. You want to go all over the face in a light swirling motion. A lot of times people skip powder in thinking that it's not important for your makeup and what it really does is gives your foundation outstanding lasting power and especially if you're going to be in a situation where you need to be waterproof, powder is the key to keeping that color on your face. Just make sure you've got it all over, blend it. So, that's our powder. Now the secret tool to waterproofing your foundation is a makeup setting spray. There is a few out there on the market right now but you need to make sure you get one that has no alcohol in it. They come in a spray form typically. Here's mine and what you want to do is you want to do about six squirts. You want to start up here on the forehead, one, two, three, one, two, three, kind of make sure you get the whole face covered. So, hold it about six to ten inches away from your face and just start spraying. You want to let it dry and try not to move. It may appear shiny at first but that's going to dry to a nice matte finish. And that is how to properly waterproof your foundation for fair skin. This is Jessica Adams and thank you for watching.
