Hi. I'm Jeremy Clark, professional hair stylist and salon owner. And today, I'm going to talk to you about how to prevent puffy hair during humid weather. If you've ever gone to the beach, maybe you've blown dried your hair, it looks perfect, you get in humid weather and poof, all of a sudden it's frizzy and it puffs out, it gets big. So, how do you prevent that. First of all, I like to prep the hair. Believe it or not, I start with a mens pomade. You put a little bit in your hands, break it down until it's almost completely gone and you feel that tackiness. You can feel the water evaporate, at that point it's OK to put on the hair, just kind of running it through the ends until you feel it soak in. And this is going to be your moisture blocker. This is actually going to stop the moisture from penetrating in to the hair and causing all that frizziness. Now, once you've prepped the hair, then go back in with your blow dryer, or your curling iron, your thermal products like flat iron, and then you can do your straightening, or your rolling, your curling. Then you want to go back in with a light holding spray, something that has maybe a little shine to it and something that's anti-humidity. And for that, I really love the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine anti-humidity hairspray. You just want to go in with a little bit of spray. You don't want to go too close, kind of keeping the spray about six inches away. And I always like to put my hand in front of the face and block the eyes so you don't spray yourself or your client in the eye, and just a few little sprays. So, once you've put the spray in the hair, you just want to go over it lightly with your fingers, make sure there's no little fly aways. And that spray is going to help keep it shiny and keep the frizz away. One final tip. If your hair's dehydrated, it's going to get frizzy. So, it's important to make sure that you use a good moisturizing conditioner and that will help block the humidity that causes frizz. That's how you prevent puffy hair in humid weather. I'm Jeremy Clark. Thanks for watching.
