Hi, my name is Kathryn Fernandez, and I'm a makeup artist in Los Angeles, California. I'm going to talk to you about some tips for model makeup. OK. One of the things that I think people really need to keep in mind for modeling like go sees and also for head shots for actresses, it really is a natural look. People really want to see what you look like, not the altered optical illusion version. So just keep in mind that they want to see your face, so really what I did is just kind of emphasized it and made it camera ready. So I just put a little bit of brown in the crease of my eyes, just to give a nice separation from the lid and the highlight of the brow. So using a crease brush, I just kind of, you know, went in and did that. And I have a matte shadow on my lids just so that they can see that there's a nice definition here. So I took the time to shape and trim and pluck my eyebrows, which is very necessary. Also just keep aware that I don't have any foundations on simply because I really love my freckles and a lot of the times foundation can kind of diminish the appearance of freckles, which is fine, I just I love mine, so I would keep them. And I just put a little bit of blush on. For the lips, I use like a fairly nude lip color and usually I wouldn't put any gloss on simply because it's suppose to be a very natural look. You do want a little bit of color on your lips just to show that you do have something on your lips, specifically when you're talking, and also really like the lip gloss would almost kind of distract from the natural look, so just be aware of that. A lot of the times for television and for go sees I would not use lip gloss. OK and that's few tips for model makeup. Thanks for watching.
