Hi, my name is Rachel, and I'm a makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to get a matte look using makeup. We are going to start with our matte-toned eye shadows. A matte blush, lipstick. Step one is going to be to apply your base shadow which I usually like to start with something very light. Sweeping motion up and out that way the excess goes to the outside. So next what I'll do is go through the creases of my eyes. And use something a little darker then what I started with on my base. I start in the crease here right in the middle working my way out. And just to kind of put it all together I'll take the lightest color my matte shades and put it right up around my brow bone just to soften that up a little bit. And our next step is going to be your blush. I usually like to use an angled brush for that. And I just like to go in a circular motion, just kind of up, back. When applying your blush some people like to put blush on their chin, on their nose and on their temples. If you have really pink undertones like myself I wouldn't suggest going there. It tends to come out way too pink, too much blush. I would just stick with the rosy cheeks. And if you feel like you over apply you can always go back through and dust a little bit of your loose face powder over that just to take away from it. And to complete our look for a matte makeup lets start with the eyebrows. And then of course mascara. And our last step will be applying lipstick. And those are the simple steps to complete a matte makeup look. Thank you.
