Hi, my name is Marisela Porras, and I'm a makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to apply makeup for a headshot. And for this look, these are the tools that we're going to need, a thick foundation powder brush, a thick blending blush brush, a medium shadow brush, a small shadow brush. For a darker color, another small shadow brush, a concealer brush, an angled eye brow brush, a light color for your brow bone and for the eye shadows we're going to go with natural colors so we're going to go with your browns. We're going to stick to the natural browns so these three. We're going to need a liquid eyeliner. You're going to need your mascara. You're going to need your lip gloss and a very basic natural lip liner and let's get started. We're going to use our thick foundation brush over our entire face, T-zone is a must so we don't get that shiny shiny look, under your eyes, roll right underneath your jaw bone, blend it into your neck. That way you don't get two different colors here, your nose, a little bit on your eyelid, that way your shadow stays a little longer. The next step, our blush brush. We're going to start towards our ear, bring it down to the apple of your cheek and the same to the second cheek down, apple, add a little bit to your nose. Next step, defining our eye brows using our smaller angled brow bone brush, dabbing it into your darker brown. All we're doing is defining our eye brows, just the way, you know, that way they show a little bit popped out there. Always have a nice little arch going. Our next step using our medium shadow brush, dabbing it on the lightest color for your brow bone and start applying right underneath your eye brow, blended back and forth strokes. Next step, we're going to use our medium shadow brush, dab it on your natural, like a neutral brown and you want to start at your lid, dab, dab, dab. Always start right in the middle, pack it on as much as you can, again as you stroke it will just, you'll get flyaways, it will get lighter but that's why you want, when you dab you want your, to pack it on a little bit. So you go the inner eye corner, bring it out to your outer eye corner, to your outer eye and let's do the same thing to the second. Now you want your medium blending brush. You want to go with something a little bit lighter than what you just applied, tap it, bring it in, windshield wiper motion and you've got your light but very very nice natural look for a headshot. You don't want too much and let's do this again for the second eye. Our next step is our liquid eyeliner. After applying your eye shadow, you don't want, you don't want it too thick, you just want a light line right over your lid and you want to go start at the tear duct of the corner of your eye, bring it out. You want to give yourself just a little bit of thickness at the edge maybe with a little tail, not too too defined. Next step, lip, lip gloss. You don't want nothing too dark but nothing too light. You want to basically stay with the same colors that you've got on your eye so you've got like a natural brownish so we're going to go with a brownish tone and just give yourself one or two coats, blend in and there you go. And now apply our mascara and don't forget the bottom, bottom lashes. And now you should be ready for your headshot. Thanks for watching.
