Hi, I'm Carmen, beauty stylist expert. I'm going to show you how to make waves starting at your root. For this demonstration you'll need a large curling iron and a comb and a clip. First, you'll want to take your hair into sections with your comb and clip away the rest and try to work in an organized manner. Take your curling iron, starting at the root and take the ends over the curling iron and hold your ends out and we're just making the curl at the root. This also helps to protect the ends because the ends aren't touched by the heat as long as the roots are. Take your next section. Again taking your curling iron straight to the root and taking the hair underneath and over the curling iron, I have a nice firm touch. I'm heating up my roots first and now I'm going to slide the rest of my hair through. And there you have it, these are some step son starting your wave at the root. The essential items for this are going to be your large curling iron. Thanks for watching. I'm Carmen.
