Hi, my name's Hilda Levierge and I'm a professional makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to make thin and sparse lashes appear fuller. Thick full lashes are a great way to frame your eyes and really make them pop. You definitely look more put together when you have a beautiful row of lashes that frame your eyes. The fastest, easiest way to do that is with a volumizing mascara, so today, I'm going to be using the Maybelline Volum Express One by One Mascara washable mascara in Blackest Black. Now, the great thing about this mascara is this fun brush. So, as you can see, it's a rubber tip applicator with these beautiful little spikes that are so close together, so they're going to hit every single lash and they're really going to comb through everything so you're not going to have any clumping. You're just going to be able to distribute the product perfectly and that's going to create really full beautiful lashes. Now, when you're using mascara, you never want to pump the brush in and out because that introduces air, which is going to dry out the product. So I'm going to go at the base of the lashes and I'm just going to wiggle the brush back and forth and that's going to distribute the product for the thickness that we're looking for. Just wiggle the product back and forth on her lashes, a couple times, and then you're going to think of your lashes in three parts. So, you've got the first part, which is near the tear duct, the middle part, and then the end. So, near the tear duct, we're just going to go up and out and get those little tiny baby lashes in there. And then in the middle, it's going to be wiggle and up, and out, and just pull up and out. And then the third part, which is the end, we're going to fan them out. So you want to wiggle the brush again at the base and then pull the brush through, and up and out towards your ear. So it's going to create a beautiful fan-like effect. So I finished with Brandi's lashes, I applied two coats. She already has really nice lashes, so I didn't feel the need to apply three coats, but you can if you want really full, thick lashes. Just make sure that you wait about 30 seconds so that the mascara has dried. And then if you're noticing any clumpiness with the three coats, a good tip is to just take a Kleenex, and just wipe off the wand so you take the product off and then just brush through your eyes with a clean wand, and that's going to separate and define the lashes. I also took a little bit of the excess product and just put a little bit on her lower lashes, just to create a little bit more definition there. One final tip to create the illusion of longer, thicker lashes is to actually take a brown or black eyeliner and just lift your lid and just wiggle the liner right into the root of the lashes and that's going to create just a little bit more depth in there and give you more of the illusion of a thicker, fuller lash. So, that's how you make thin and sparse lashes appear fuller. Thanks for watching, I'm Hilda Levierge.
