Hi, this is Kristie Kennedy, professional makeup artist. Today, we'll be discussing how to create a dewy look for darker skin. It's really important to have that dewy look because it gives you youthfulness and you want to make sure your skin is radiant. The tools that you need will be a liquid foundation, an illuminator, lip gloss, cream blush and your foundation brush. Let's start. The first step is to apply your liquid foundation. I've mixed it with an illuminator. You can place them in four spots in the forehead, cheeks and chin and then blend in in upward motions and I've selected a foundation that is close to my skin tone, that way it has a more natural look as if I'm not wearing any at all. Make sure you get rid of all telltale lines and a lot of people forget around the chin area to blend in towards the neck and that is the first step. The second step is to apply a creamy blush as opposed to a matte brush which would be a powder like brush because we're creating a dewy look. I just place the blush on the apple of my cheek and begin to blend in upward. And do the same for the other cheek. Your hands will warm that makeup and allow it to penetrate into the skin like it's a part of your own natural skin and that is the second step and our last and final step will be to apply a nice lip gloss from top to bottom, bottom to top. Make sure to nicely place on the inside of your lines and blend together. And that's your final step. And that is how you make your skin look dewy.
