About the Expert
Hello, I'm Kristy Charlier, professional esthetician and today I'm going to talk to you about how to keep a youthful neck and decollete. So it's very important to treat the neck and chest with anti-aging products because it is one of the first to show those visible signs of aging, the breakdown of collagen elastin, brown pigmentation and redness. Because your neck and chest is one of the first to show signs of aging, you do need to treat it with anti-aging products. So today on Eileen I'm going to use the L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Hydra Nutrition Golden Balm, face, neck and chest. So with clean fingers or you can use a sterile cotton tip, just take about a pea size amount of product and just put it onto the back of your hand. You want to make sure that your skin is damp when putting this on that way the product will go right around to all areas of the face and neck. I'm going to gently feather this down. Don't forget about the back of the neck, that's very important as well. This product contains glycerin, shea butter so it's very nourishing and moisturizing. Also it contains apricot kernel oil which is very hydrating, absorbs well into the skin so it's non-greasy. So the skin on the neck and chest is very sensitive so you might want to do a patch test as it's very thin skin so you could have a reaction. This product can be used day and nighttime. During the day I do suggest that you apply an SPF of at least 30 in this area to protect against UV damage. One final tip when you are spraying perfume on your body, don't spray it on the neck and chest as this can lead to brown pigmentation on either side and redness in the skin. So just kind of spray it on your clothes more so than on the skin of that area. So there you have it. That's how to keep a youthful neck and decollete. I'm Kristy Charlier. Thank you for watching.
