Hi, my name is Taylor Babaian. I'm a celebrity makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to apply highlighter makeup. So highlighter actually comes in different forms - could be a highlighter blush, it could be a highlighter pen. Basically what it is, is it's a color that's lighter than your natural skin tone, and it brings those bones forward. So we're going to use a little bit on Bianca's face, at the cheekbone, at the nose, just to bring those forward and to really accentuate and sculpt her face. So the highlighter I'm going to use is L'Oreal Paris Magical Lumi concealer in light. So we're going to use this brush tip applicator. It has a little bit of beautiful shimmer, which will really help to bring everything forward. So where do you apply your highlighter? You want to apply it wherever you want anything to bring forward or go lighter. The only way to highlight your skin is actually to choose a color that's lighter than your natural skintone. So we're going to go just under her eye. Really to pick up that cheekbone, and also just to really brighten that eye area. So notice that I am actually tapping it into the skin. It really allows that product to blend into the skin. I like to also apply it just in the center of the nose. That's going to thin out that nose, and bring that bridge forward. Notice how it really does that. Also bring a little bit in the chin area, bring that chin forward. So the goal when you're actually applying highlighter, is to add light to the face, and really bring the portions of it forward that you really want to bring forward, which is basically the upper part of the cheekbone, the bridge of the nose, to really thin out that nose, the front of the eyelids, just to add a little extra pop, especially if you're doing this really beautiful clean look. So highlighter actually adds dimension to the skin, so it'll really bring out life, really highlight, make the skin look illuminating, just in the right places. It really makes a huge difference. It'll make you look five years younger. It'll make you look more awake. So this is a finishing touch that I've always used forever, whether it's been on the red carpet. Something that people don't necessarily know about, but it does add that extra life. So for those of you that have maybe a little bit of blueness, a little darkness on the inner corner of the eye, which is actually really common and people forget, you can apply it a little bit just to that area, and it'll make your eyes look so much more awake. So we've highlighting Bianca's skin, as you can see. Just right underneath the eyes, along the cheekbones, the nose. It really adds luminosity to her face, and gives her radiance. What I love about it, is that it actually transcends ages. Whether you're a teenager or for mature skin. So daughters and their mothers can actually use it alike. It's a great tool to have in your makeup kit that makes you look better without looking like you have makeup on. So there you go, that's how you apply highlighter. I'm Taylor Babaian. Thanks for watching!
