Hi, I'm Julie Isobe, professional hairstylist. Today, I'm going to share with you how to fix your curly hair after you've watched it at night. When you have curly hair, you tend to wake up in the morning with a lot of frizz and out-of-control curls. By using the right product at night, and wrapping your hair up, you'll wake up with a looser, more beautiful curl. To do this, you'll need some clips, some ties, and a medium product. The product I'm going to use for this is Ringlet 07 by Redken. Marisole has had her hair washed. We're going to put the product in section by section. You can take pretty large sections for this. Emulsify in your hands and skip the root area, and drag the product through. With curly hair, a lot of people tend to simply scrunch the product in, but you really want to make sure you've got really good even distribution all the way through the strands. I'm going to continue up, taking pretty large sections, and make sure that product gets all the way through. The great thing about this product is that you can not really overuse it. This product has memory to it, and it also has silk technology. So the silk technology moisturizes the curls, as well as giving a medium hold. I'm going to finish pulling that product all the way through to the ends. And now to do a simple wrap. I'm going to slightly encourage the curl just by squeezing my fingers in the hair first. Separate it into two. Just elevate it slightly, and you see I'm shaking the hair to make it nice and loose. I'm then going to twist, pull the hair up onto the top of the head, make sure the ends are tucked in. Take my little band and wrap it around the hair. Make sure when you wrap the hair band around, you get it good at the base first. That's going to hold it in while you're moving your head in the nighttime. And then make sure you put it over the center of the wrap, and that's going to hold the rest of the hair in. When you wrap it, you want to make sure you've got it high enough to include any of the shorter pieces. So, I noticed that there was some shorter pieces in the front, so I'm simply going to pull those over into the other side of the wrap. Once you've got it wrapped, you really don't want to disturb it. So I'm tying it around the base, and then pulling the center through. And there we have it. When you take your hair down in the morning, this is how the curl is going to look. You might find that your hair will still be a little damp, which is absolutely fine. You can either go ahead, use a diffuser gently on your hair, or you can just walk around and let it air dry. Remember, if you have thicker, coarser hair, you can do more wrapping with your hair to maybe four bands would be good, and if you have finer hair, you could put it all up into one. The great thing about this is that you can just take your hair our and walk out of the house. But remember, the more you touch curls, the bigger they get. And that's how you fix curly hair when you wash it at night. I'm Julie Isobe, and thank you for watching.
