Hi my name is Megan Grady and I'm a hairstylist and today I'm going to teach you how to do a fishtail side braid. The tools we're going to use today are one large ponytail holder and one small ponytail holder and a strong hold hairspray for the finish. So the first step we're going to do is take our hair and put it in a side ponytail to secure the braid while we braid it. So step two I'm going to take my ponytail and split it into two sections and then from each section I'm going to take a small strand of hair and put it over and under the opposite section and then from the other side take a small strand of hair and tuck it under the opposite and we're going to continue this all the way down and the smaller the strand of hair you take, the better your fishtail braid will look and we're going to pull it apart a little bit a the ends so don't be afraid to let it get a little messy. Okay the next step we're going to take is to take our small rubber band and secure the braid. Then we're going to go through the braid and pull sections out so that it looks messy. And to finish it off, we're going to remove the large ponytail holder that we put in in the very beginning and then use our stronghold finishing spray to spray it so that it stays all day long and if you want to pull it out a little bit more, just to have a better look you can. So this is the finished look for the fishtail side braid. If there is any pieces falling out that you want to pin up, you can always use a bobby pin to secure them in. Thank you for watching.
