Hi, my name is Taylor Babaian. I'm a celebrity makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you an eyeshadow look for dark hair and dark brown eyes. So when I'm choosing an eye shadow look for dark hair and dark brown eyes, I always love to choose the colors, or actually mimic the colors, in the iris of the eye, and use it on the lid, as well as under the eye, to really enhance all those colors. So to get the look, I'm going to use L'Oreal Paris, Studio Secrets, the One Sweep Eyeshadow in Playful for all eyes. So what I love about the One Sweep eye shadow is it actually has all your colors that you need when you're applying eye shadow, which is the highlight color, the base color and the contour color already together for you, so it makes it really simple. It also has this applicator brush, so we're just going to turn this, and I'm basically going to just rub my little applicator tool, with a descent amount of pressure, I just rub it back and forth, and you'll get this lovely application. You want that dark base color to be at the base of the lashes, right in here, and then the lighter color, which is the highlight color, goes underneath the brow bone. So I'm just going to rub that on, just gently, kind of rock it over. And you can always intensify these colors by using a brush, but it's kind of nice that it actually just shows you where it's supposed to lay. I'm just applying it on the lid, then I'm just going to pull it right out. For more pigment, you might want to add, and do it a couple of times, and this is fantastic for novices. It's basically pretty fool proof. I like that it has all your color chosen for you, so you don't have to look for a matching contour color, matching highlight color, and it shows you exactly that you need the most amount in the center, a little highlight, and a little contour at the base. So we've finished using our applicator to kind of create our template on Beyonca's eyes. Now I'm just going to add a little bit more pigment using my brush, just where I want just a little bit of extra, and to smooth things out, just on that outer corner, right there. Use a little bit darker. Same thing on the other side, I'm just going to do a little bit of the bronze color. You see how the applicator actually did create a nice little template for us, so we know where to apply if we need a little extra, or if we need to blend things out. So, notice like even just that application really brought the brown out in her eyes. They don't look so dark anymore. Sometimes, like if you use a flat color it can look really dull, and that's not what you want. You want it to brighten, you want the eyes to pop. So if you have dark brown eye, and you really want to brighten and lighten them up, one trick that I like to do is choose the lightest of the two, and wrap it underneath the eye. That way the dark brown basically has lighter colors surrounding it to make the illusion that it's actually lighter. So we're going to take this nice bronze color, and wrap it underneath the eye. It's really going to help to pull those ambers in the brown. And for those of you that think that, oh my eyes are just dark, and there's no amber or any lightness to them, try looking at yourself in a lit bathroom, and you'll be able to really see if you really look, it's very rare that you see like black eyes I don't think I've ever really met one person with black eyes. So we're just going to take that bronze, wrap it all the way underneath, and then take that gold tone, and apply it to the inner corner. So it's just going to frame that eye with lightness, and really give it that illusion of being a little bit lighter. Definitely brighter. So as you can see, now that the look's complete, the light bronze and gold tones really bring out the lightness in her iris, and it really transitions really softly with her face. Using the gold tones inside her eye really does brighten and lighten the eye color. So there you have it, an eye shadow look for dark hair and dark brown eyes. I'm Taylor Babaian, thanks for watching.
