Hi, my name is Molly Kay. I'm a professional hairstylist. Today, we are going to be talking about drying your hair without using a blow dryer. What you'll need for this is at least staled hair and some holding product. And what you are going to want to do is when you get in the shower do not wash your hair. The natural oils in your hair will help you achieve that natural looking wave. So then, when you get out you don't want to brush it. You just put some products through your hair. A nice cream gel, maybe a root boost would be great. And you just put that through your hair and kind of massage it into your scalp a little bit. And you just kind of let it dry. Every so often you'll apply more product. And the action of applying product and then letting your hair dry and then applying product and letting your hair dry will really help you manipulate that curl into something natural. If you need to you can pop curls in. I would recommend using a smoothing iron. When you use a smoothing iron it tends to look a little less manicured and a little bit more natural because it's not as uniformed. So there's two techniques you can do. One of them is you just take a chunk of hair. You put the flat iron on it, you turn it halfway and then pull it out. That will give you a really nice natural looking curl. Or if you are looking for more of a wave you can take the smoothing iron with the chunk of hair and you just turn it in and then out, and in and then out. That way it's giving you more of a natural wave. So the easiest way to get a nice natural wave without using a blow dryer is to have a little bit of product and dirt and grime in your hair from the day before. So it's a great way to do second day hair. What you'll want to do is get it wet, don't wash it. And when you get out of the shower you want to towel dry it and then apply product. The more you brush it the straighter it will go so try not to brush it. And just towel dry and apply product. You can kind of manipulate it with your fingers that's going to help your hair kind of get that S pattern in. But really you just want to be layering products as it dries. I'm Molly Kay, and thanks for watching.
