Hi, I'm Erin, and I'm a fashion stylist. Let's talk about how to dress up your jeans. Denim is no longer just for casual daytime wear. You can dress up your jeans and create an elegant evening look. Our model, Heather, is wearing a dark wash wider leg pair of jeans. That wide leg is great for balancing out bottom curvy bodies. It has to be a midnight blue or black. Fading or rips will definitely make the overall ensemble more casual so look for a really dark well fitting pair of jeans. On top, I've put Heather in a feminine lace meets cobweb cream long sleeve top by "Top Shop," and a great, classic black blazer. The jacket pulls the whole look together and makes it much more formal. To make Heather look leaner, I have accessorized with a long silver and black pendant necklace. Since the necklace is relatively simple, I also added a black sparkly cuff. On her feet, Heather is wearing a sky high pair of suede ankle boots. The ankle boot is best under jeans, because a taller boot would just create bulk around the calves. You can also try a closed toe pump. Now, she's ready for her hot date or drinks with the girls.
