Hi, I'm Seane Marie, and I'm a fashion stylist. Dressing for the office can be touch as it is but when your office is considered casual professional, it can be even harder as you have to find the balance of not looking too stuffy but also not too sloppy. Now while there are multiple ways this fine line can be walked, one of my favorites is by pairing pieces that have more conservative cuts or polished details but that are made of casual or fun materials. Today, Caitlyn is wearing a fun patterned pencil skirt. The large brocade print is bold but the muted palette and classic cut tone it down enough to make it office friendly. I've tucked in a feminine ruffled top to add some volume to the slim silhouette of the skirt and keep it looking classic. Now if your office is casual enough to allow sleeveless cut tops, opt for wearing this combination alone with a belt with a waistline for a polished accessory. However, I have shown this look today with a cute taupe cardigan layered on top, not only will this keep you warm, as many offices can get a bit chilly, but it will also give you a slightly more conservative and office appropriate look. I've pulled together this chic workday look with a cute pair of wedges and this polished gold watch but if you still want to dress this look down even further, try a pair of ultra cool wide legged denim and you'll still have an off the moment and put together look.
