Hello, I'm Kristy Charlier, professional esthetician, and today I'm going to talk to you about how to diminish large pores. Large pores are often hereditary. They are mainly seen on oilier type skins as their pores are a little bit bigger than those of dry skins. Sun damage and aging does contribute to large pores. That's because the dead skin cells kind of sit around the surface of the pore. This is creating the illusion that they are larger than life. As we lose elasticity and collagen our pores tend to be more relaxed, expanding the pore size. So to diminish these larger than life pores, one thing that we have to keep on top of is cleansing and exfoliating the skin. I recommend for Chelsea's skin using a gentle firming face wash such as L'Oreal Paris Youth Code Foaming Gel Cleanser. We're going to dampen Chelsea's skin a little bit. This foaming cleanser is gentle enough to use around the eye area. You just want to use about a half a pump of this product. Because it is a gel, it's going to foam very well in your hands so liquefy that. You want to spread this right throughout the skin. This has a combination of a salicylic and citric acids which are going to gently exfoliate the skin removing any impurities. It also has added menthol which is going to cool the skin and stimulate circulation. So these beta hydroxy acids such as your salicylic and citric actually break up the intracellular glue that holds the dead skin cells together, that way allowing them to be washed off your face in an actual hydrating manner. Another thing that works great in combination with this kind of gel cleanser is an exfoliation that can be done two to three times a week depending on your skin type. This will help remove any left over dead skin cells that are from cleansing. Some other great tips to diminish large pores would be to use an oil free foundation and a moisturizer. Make sure that you know they are non-comedogenic and they won't build up that skin cells around the top of the pore to make them larger. So that's how you diminish the appearance of large pores. I'm Kristy Charlier. Thank you for watching.
