Hi, I'm Renee, and I'm a hairstylist, and I'm going to show you today how to detangle wiry hair. Now, why it's important to detangle wiry hair is that it tends to get kinky if you don't. It can also break off your hair if you don't do this. So, this is what I'm going to show you. So these are the tools we're going to use, a volumizing detangler, a wide tooth comb and also just simply your plain fingers just to get yourself through the actual hair. So in this process we're going to use the volumizing detangler and what I did is I sectioned off my hair to show you how to get the tangles out. So we're going to start combing the hair here and I'm going to just actually keep putting in the detangler because I'm trying to show you as if I was in the shower and my hair is being conditioned. And this is also good, a volumizing detangler is very good, let's say after you get out of the shower and you've rinsed off your conditioner, you want to put this and distribute it through your hair and you can use your fingers to detangle your hair, just be very gentle. But the reason I like using just my fingers is that it's wide, okay, so I'll just put it all through my hair. Now I have a smaller tooth comb and usually I use a pick for this but I'll just take a little bit of the section of the hair and I'll just comb right through it from the roots down. Now my hair is curly so it will curl up. This is just to get all of the tangles out. See you have to be gentle because your hair starts, with curly hair and in my texture it tends to already starting to curl up and it can also tangle easily. Now I prefer to do this in the shower when my hair has conditioner in it. I think that's very important. It actually sets up the rest of the hair so even after you rinse your hair out and you've already detangled it, combed it through, you can add your products in and then you're good to go for the rest of the day. So basically that's it, after you're out of the shower, you're done and that's how you detangle your hair. Thanks for watching.
