Hi, my name is Ana, and I'm a makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to choose a makeup palette for tan skin. There's a great trick that you can use at home And that's to separate your makeup palettes between warm and cool toned eye shadows and blushes. This is an example of a palette that you can do at home. This is the warm tones, and this is the cooler tones. Warm tones are going to be great to use on an everyday basis. I have a neutral tone eyeshadow for the lid, a medium tone brown for the crease, a dark eggplant brown shad for the outer corner. And I've added a bright shade as an optional color, if you want to add a pop of color. I've also added a coordinating blush in a peach tone. So, this again, will be something great to wear on an everyday basis. If you want to do something special, like maybe, go out on a date, or dinner, and you want to amp up your makeup a little bit, go with cooler tones. These are going to be a little bit more intense and dramatic on the eyes. There's a soft pink tone, kind of like a pinky-brown toned, medium toned eyeshadow for the crease. And then, a dark eggplant shadow for the outer corner. And again, I've added a pop of color with a bright purple, and a coordinating blush in pink. For fun, I'm going to go ahead and apply the cooler toned eyeshadow set. I'm going to start off by applying the light pink eyeshadow all over my lid. So, I'm just going to apply this all over, smooth it out. Cooler tones are on the opposite spectrum of warm tones. When you have tan skin, you tend to have warmer undertones. So, when you use cooler toned eye shadows and blushes on the face. They're little bit more intensified, so they're perfect when you really want dramatic makeup. Now, I'm going to apply the medium tone brown eyeshadow, it's got a little bit of pink in it, so it's like a pinky-brown. And I'm just going to blend that into the crease. What we're doing here, is we're adding definition and depth, we're enhancing the shape of our eye by adding this color. You can stop with these two eye shadows for a really simple day look. But I'm going to go ahead and add a third color for evening. I'm going to apply the dark eggplant color on the outer corner of the eye. When you put the darker shadow next to the lighter shadow, it just gives a nice definition and depth to the eyes. But it also goes really well with the medium tone in the crease. You're probably wanting to know, what to do with the bright color purple shadow. This is something optional, if you want to add a little bit of color. You just pick the bright eyeshadow, and you just add a pop, right towards the outer corner. So, its' just giving a hint of one additional color. Next, I'm going to apply the complimentary blush color. It's just a pink, which looks great on tan skin, and I'm just going to apply it to the apples. Because I have quite a bit of color on my eyes and my cheeks. I just kept my lips very simple, I just put a sheer pink gloss all over. You'll really save some time by choosing your palettes at home, dividing them between warm and cooler tones. Thanks for watching.
