Hi, I'm makeup artist Chantal Moore, and today I'm going to show you how to cover acne blemishes with makeup. Today, I'm using Smooth Indulgent Concealer by Dermablend. I'm going to use a brush and I'm also going to use my ring finger to demonstrate, put a little bit of the product on my hand right here and using my ring finger I'm going to go right into the area that Dreya shows the most redness and that would be in your cheek right here and I'm going to do that so that you can see the product go on and then I'm going to use my brush and I'm actually going to blend this in and what the redness concealer does is it neutralizes red. So any area on your face where you have acne scars that have a reddish tint, Rosacea, broken blood vessels, capillaries, anything of that tone this Smooth Indulgence redness concealer is going to neutralize for you and you apply it just like this, strategically onto the area of redness and just blend that out and now this area is ready for further concealer work. I'm going to squeeze out a little bit of the redness concealer onto my hand so that you can see the color of that and you can see that that is a proper green and this is the color that you need when you are trying to neutralize and take down red in the skin. The reason for green is that green on the color chart neutralizes red. It's the opposite of red. When you're trying to knock down the coloration of a scar on your face you want to look to the opposite on the color wheel and so for redness that would be green. Once you have properly worked the redness concealer into the skin, you shouldn't see any hint of that green whatsoever. It should really just look like completely neutralized skin. Literally you can use this on any area of the face that you have a little bit of red scarring or imperfections. So any broken capillaries, any veins, you can just go in there around the nose. I like using a brush and you just get that preciseness just around the area and you want to just blend like crazy. So once you've completed your redness concealing work you can go on to the next step. You an apply your foundation or your concealer at home and that's what you would put over the redness concealer for your final skin coverage work. So there you have it. How to cover acne blemishes with makeup. I'm Chantal Moore. Thank you for watching.
