Hi, I'm makeup artist, Chantal Moore, and today I'm going to show you how to cover acne marks and scars. On Drea's skin she has a few areas of scarring. Scars can come in a variety of different ways. They can come from previous acne and so you'll have more of a red spot but they can also come from a more serious injury to the skin which would change the texture and it would cause more of a pitting mark. Drea has gorgeous skin but there are some areas of her face that I'm going to demonstrate how to apply coverage for those scars that might actually have more of a pitted appearance in the skin where the texture has been changed. Today I'm using Smooth Indulgence Foundation in Caramel Beige and for this I'm actually going to use my fingers to work this into your skin and when you have any sort of scarring that does give a bit of a pitted textured appearance, your fingers are really the best way to work this coverage into those areas. So I'm going to show you, I'm just going to take this and I'm going to work it with my fingers into Drea's skin and when I'm working with somebody that has scarring, this is the way that I like to do it. I like to use my fingers and I like to just press it gently into the skin. So not only is this going to help to work the product in to refine the texture of her skin, it's immediately making any red spots that she has, any scarring that you see from pimples, it's just disappearing and I'm just gently pressing the product into the skin, working that in and blending it, working it from the inside out and just feathering that out, just gently blending. So with your foundation, you want to just layer the pigment across the skin. You can build it, you can blend it out to take it down and in certain spots, you will have more of a need for coverage than others and just be aware of that. Okay, you can see a visible difference between Drea's right side of her face and her left. This side of the face where we used the coverage, no pores, no discoloration, any scarring that she has is literally diffused away, completely perfected. So by using a high purity pigment we were able to literally build volume into the skin. It plumped the skin and it just refined this whole area of texture, any acne scarring, all of that texture has just been refined and blended away, really really great coverage. It's a matte finish. It doesn't look heavy. It doesn't feel heavy but yet it covers so perfectly. Okay so I've finished Drea's coverage and you can see just absolute perfection, just the skin tone has been perfected. The texture is refined, just a flawless, flawless finish to the skin. And there you have it, how to cover acne marks and scars. I'm Chantal Moore, thank you for watching.
