Hi, my name is Dominique, and I'm a makeup artist, and today I'm going to be showing you how to clear up acne for oily skin. Having crystal clear skin is the best confidence boost to get you through your day or to help you achieve those dreams that are in the distant future. The first tool we'll need is our cleanser. This cleanser in particular has some salicylic acid in it. Next, we'll need an exfoliant. You want to go over it with a gentle toner. I prefer a spot treatment with salicylic acid in it and finally no cleansing system is complete without the moisturizer. This cleanser is really lightweight so it's going to help to treat my skin as I clean it to take off any extra oil that can clog my pores. So, I'm just rinsing off and taking off the cleanser now. My face feels really squeaky clean which is nice especially with oily skin. We don't like to feel any of that leftover residue. Next, we'll need an exfoliant. I could use this every day if I wanted to although I don't recommend a daily exfoliation. Notice I'm doing circular motions across just to work those beads through to give a gentle scrub to my face, keep my skin really soft and polished so I don't have a breakout. And then I'm going to rinse that off as well. It's really important also to make sure that you exfoliate on a cleansed face. Then after you're done cleansing your face you want to go over it with a gentle toner. This toner in particular is just going to help to get rid of any leftover cleanser, exfoliant that you were using and just help to balance back out the pH levels of the skin. So next we're just going to do the topical salicylic acid. I'm just going to place that right on that little breakout there. This spot treatment is great if you have a little pimple or something that's about to come to the surface. It will help to treat it overnight until you wake up in the morning with crystal clear skin and then finally we want to do our moisture. I know it's hard sometimes with oily skin. We want to not put moisture on because we feel as if, "Oh, my skin is really oily, I don't need it anyway." But part of the reason why your skin is oily is because the skin thinks it's dry, it's living, it's breathing, so when you're giving it hydration, not oil, remember this is an oil-free moisturizer, your skin is going to naturally stop producing as much oil, thus, making you have less breakouts. The most important thing to remember when clearing up acne for oily skin is to be consistent. Remember, results are not going to come immediately overnight but you will start to see results. Make sure to use something with some salicylic acid in it to really help to treat the acne, the infection, whatever it is that you're trying to target. So, here's to crystal clear skin with my tips on how to clear up acne for oily skin.
