Hi, my name is Rachel and I'm a makeup artist. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to find powder for a cool undertone skin. We usually have three different choices of powder which are your dry powders, your cream powders, and your loose powders. The first powder we are going to talk about today is the compact powder. It's a pressed powder. And I usually like to choose the pressed powder for everyday use. It's got really good coverage. Compact powder is usually better for setting makeup. If you decide to use a foundation to start with you can always go back over that with a compact powder. And it sets everything but it's a more extreme as opposed to if you use a loose powder to cover your foundation. In comparison with cream it's not as heavy, it's not as weighted. So that's why you can use it everyday. Our next powder we are going to move onto is the cream to powder finish. And usually it's something that you don't want to use for everyday use. With fair complected skin it tends to dry your skin out if you used it on a daily basis. It's really good for things like going out at night. It keeps your makeup in place, very thick. Again it's one of those that you could go over it with your translucent powder just to set in place. But it's a very thick, very dense makeup. So you don't want to overuse it or use it for every day. And our last type of powder we are going to discuss today is our loose powder which I typically like to go for a translucent powder. It lays really nicely on the skin. It settles really nicely especially for fair cooled complected skin girls. They do have different colors you can choose from. But again like I said I always go for the translucent because I tend to like to use it to go over foundation that already has pigment to it. When I choose my color powder I usually go through and I'll take my different choices. I'll start with a cool, sometimes work with a neutral. And sometimes something warm. And I'll take it and put it right on the end side of my wrist. Go ahead and make sure you blend it in so you can see what's going to cover your skin better. And that's how you choose powder for a cool undertone skin. Keep in mind that there's all different kinds. You have your pressed powder, your cream powder, and your loose powder. There's all different tones. So just to make sure you always test it out on your wrists before you purchase. Thank you so much for watching.
